I missed a posting yesterday, but what I do not miss is the ignorant bliss. The ignorant bliss among the idiot masses which causes inadvertent pain to animals. Throughout my life no matter the diet, I’ve still always wondered why people, no matter their diet, have such a vile hatred towards environmental and animal rights groups. The simplest reason is because they feel uncomfortable, because of the cognitive dissonance of past, present, and future atrocities committed to our environment and animal inhabitants. One group that takes the grunt of the hatred from people of all walks of life even vegetarians & vegans is PETA. But it is merely for the fact that groups such as these bring the issue to the forefront and force people to feel uneasy. People in the animal abuse sector of the economy go to great lengths to cover up exposure videos and silence the voices of those bringing the issues to the forefront, whether by force or through drowning out the message with massive advertising. There are armies of people sitting at desks making sure the masses are ignorant, because when they are ignorant they are in ‘bliss.’
When I think of this Bill Hicks clip now, I like to amend the line to “advertising or marketing (of animal consumption products)”.
